Technical Tip (31) Better front brake

If you value better braking more than originality, it is easily possible to substitute the 8inch t.l.s. conical front wheel from a 1971-onwards BSA/Triumph for the standard AMC variety. It will only entail slightly modifying the anchor stay and fitting it to the r.h.s. fork leg. The spindle diameter differs within only thousandths of an inch, but perfectionists could soon overcome that if they felt it necessary
