Technical Tip (1): Dual seat re-fitting

April 2010: Tip of the Month
When re-fitting a dual seat, there is very little room for holding both washer and nut in place on the bolt through the frame next to the rear suspension unit, particularly on machines with Jampots.
Save time and temper by replacing standard nuts and washers with  bicycle wheel-spindle nuts–known as “track-nuts”
These incorporate a captive serrated washer, and so the bolt will tghten without the need for a spanner.
A bonus is, they usually come chrome-plated!
