Albert's 1959 Matchless G12 CSR

Albert's 1959 Matchless G12 CSR

This bike was one of the first batch of 650cc twins to be built.
The tuned engine was developed from the successful 500cc Matchless G9 model and has the sprung competition frame as used by the works scrambles team.
It has road equipment for use as a fast sports tourer, achieving 114 mph in road tests.

Brand new it sold at £280, which was the price paid in 1987 by the current owner, when it was derelict.
